PITAKA Military Grade Protective Case for iPhone 16 Pro

PITAKA Military Grade Protective Case for iPhone 16 Pro

When I showcased all the PITAKA ultra-slim cases for the iPhone 16 Pro, many of you were impressed with the sleek design, premium feel, and ultra-slim profile. However, I noticed your biggest concern — protection.

If that’s what held you back, I’ve got great news. Today, I’m introducing the PITAKA Military-Grade Protective Cases. They deliver the same sleek, lightweight design you loved, but with a significant upgrade in durability and protection. Style and strength? You can have both.

Before we begin, as always, you can find the product links at the end of this article.

PITAKA Military-Grade Protective Case Review

I have all three color options of the PITAKA Military-Grade Protective Case here, so you can decide which one suits you best. Since the Moonrise case caught my eye the most, let’s start with that.

The case comes in elegant, eco-friendly packaging. Like Apple, PITAKA avoids using plastic in its packaging. There’s a small pull-tab at the bottom — just give it a tear and boom — you’re in. Simple, clean, and satisfying.

Inside, you’ll find some paperwork and the case itself. The case feels even more premium than PITAKA’s ultra-slim line. The exterior is crafted from PITAKA’s signature aramid fiber, bonded to a TPU frame for added durability.

One of my favorite upgrades are the metal buttons. They offer a satisfying, tactile click that feels just right. It’s a small detail, but trust me, it makes a big difference.

The case feels solid and luxurious in hand. Let’s put it on the iPhone 16 Pro to see how it looks. I must say, it fits like a glove. It offers 360-degree protection with precise cutouts for the Camera Control, speaker grills, and charging port.

On the sides, you’ll notice the seamless transition between the aramid fiber and the TPU material. The edges are super-smooth, and you can’t feel the junction between the two materials.

The case also features a raised lip around the camera for extra protection. There’s additional protection for the display, though it’s less prominent if you use a screen protector.

I’m currently using the Benks Glasswarrior screen protector, and it sits flush with the case’s edge. I like this because it provides a smooth experience for gesture navigation. However, it does mean the screen protector is more exposed to potential scratches, especially if you tend to place your phone face down like I do.

Enough about the Moonrise case — now, let’s unbox the Sunset case and see how it compares. I have a feeling it will pair perfectly with my Desert Titanium iPhone 16 Pro. The unboxing process is identical, so let’s focus on the case.

The Sunset case looks even better in person. The camera bump has a shiny golden hue that complements the Desert Titanium color perfectly. Let’s see how it looks on the phone. Even before I snap it on, I can tell it’s going to be stunning.

And I was right. We have a winner, folks. I’m not sure if the camera can fully capture it, but if you own a Desert Titanium iPhone, the Sunset color option is a perfect match.

I’ve already covered all the key features, so the only thing left to mention is the feel of the Camera Control.Since the case is ultra-slim, I had no issues using the Camera Control button. Both, the hard press to launch the camera and the soft press to toggle camera settings work flawlessly. While it’s not as effortless as an iPhone 16 Pro case with a dedicated camera control button, it’s still highly functional.

That brings me to a question for you — are you guys using the Camera Control to change settings? I mostly use it to launch the camera and snap photos, though I occasionally adjust the Photography Styles. Let me know in the comments how you use it.

Finally, let’s take a look at the Black color. There’s not much to say here — Black is a timeless classic. It looks great on any iPhone 16 Pro model. It’s the ideal choice if you prefer a stealthy aesthetic or if you have the Natural Titanium iPhone.

To wrap it up, I recommend trying the Moonrise color, since it looks exceptionally striking. But if you own a Desert Titanium iPhone 16 Pro or Pro Max, the Sunset option is, without a doubt, the best match.
